Windows XP SP2 Release

In response to many security concerns within XP, Microsoft has created SP2 for XP. According to Bill Gates there are so many upgrades that it would normally be a new version, but due the highly increased security concerns he is giving it away for free as a Service Pack. With enhanced security for a vast variety of users, there will be tweaking of current applications and changes in current methods of doing some daily work. IS Consulting is dedicated in assisting you with this Service Pack release to ensure you stay protected, while allowing existing programs to continue normal function. We recommend waiting to install SP2 until such time as it has been tested in your environment. Untested implementations of SP2 may inadvertently disable programs such an Anti-Virus, SpyWare protection and email. Once SP2 has been officially released, IS Consulting will provide our official implementation recommendations and be happy to apply them for you.
NOTE: Some PCs may have Automatic Updates turned on and the PCs are installing updates in the background. Here is the URL that explains how to turn this off.
